Recycling

Axkid strongly recommends recycling of old car seats. Before leaving the car seat at the local recycling station, cut off any harness straps from the seat, remove the textile cover, remove as many Styrofoam parts as possible, separate metal and plastic parts if possible. The main part of the car seat should be marked unsafe or expired (use a marker) to deter anyone from using it again. Please follow the local municipal guidelines for recycling instructions for the different materials.
